MIMOSA - Luxury Botanical Lip Treatment

Four waxes, one balm. The amber is the sea buckthorn.

MIMOSA is an anhydrous lip treatment built on four plant waxes and 10% sea buckthorn fruit oil. It melts at lip temperature, sets to a satin film, and carries a warm, powdery mimosa scent from the flower wax itself. Faintly sweet on the lips. 0.15 oz twist tube, founder-formulated.

It goes on firm and loosens the moment it touches skin — the C10-18 triglycerides in the base were chosen for a melt point near body temperature, so the change happens on contact, not with rubbing. The film it leaves is satin, not gloss. Scent sits close: warm, powdery, a little citrus from the orange peel wax. The faint sweetness is stevia, carried in coconut oil.

Why four waxes

Most balms use one wax for structure and stop there. This formula splits the job four ways. Beeswax holds the stick. Mimosa flower wax carries the scent and a soft film — the fragrance lives in the wax, not layered over it. Upcycled orange peel wax, recovered from orange juice production, gives the finish its slip. And a modified beeswax keeps the balm smooth in the tube — the grit that shows up in natural balms over time is wax crystallization, and this is the ingredient that stops it. Balancing four waxes against one melt point took more failed batches than we will admit to. The ratio stays ours.

The amber and the butter

Sea buckthorn fruit oil, 10%. Its carotenoids tint every tube amber — the color is the oil, no dye added — and its omega-7-rich profile is why lips look conditioned rather than coated. Cupuaçu butter is a soft Amazonian butter; lips look fuller and smoother while it’s on. Jojoba finishes the blend — a wax ester close to skin’s own — and castor adds the low shine. The tocopherol at the end of the ingredients list is an antioxidant protecting the oils, nothing more.

What’s not here

No water — so no preservative system, because none is needed. No petrolatum, no synthetic fragrance, no PEGs, no artificial color. One honest note: this formula is built on beeswax, so it isn’t vegan.

Warmed for a breath between finger and lip, then pressed on. Reapply when you want the scent again.
