Almond Rose Soap

The blush is the clay — French pink kaolin colors the bar, no dye. This is true cold-process soap, made with coconut milk instead of plain water, so the lather comes up creamy rather than squeaky.

The oils are chosen for what they become: 45% olive for gentleness, 25% coconut for the bubbles, cocoa and shea butters (10% each) for a hard, long-lasting bar, avocado for richness, castor to hold the lather together. Saponification leaves the glycerin right where it formed — in the bar, not sold off.

The scent opens on warm almond — the marzipan kind — brightened with bergamot and geranium, finishing on true rose otto: steam-distilled rose, in a $10 bar. It’s the soap’s version of the Almond Rose Body Butter — same story, lathered.

For hands, body, wherever. Let it drain dry between uses and it lasts.
